2008 / naOmak, Ružomberok, (SK)

2/10/2008 exhibition was opened naOmaK, installed in the gallery Ludovit Fulla in Ruzomberok .. Through this exhibition of his works showed Mgr. art. Michal Hanula. The young designer is now devoted to teaching the SUV Ruzomberok. He studied at the SUV in Kremnica and the Department of Design at the Faculty of Arts at the Technical University in Kosice. During a creative career, won several awards in competitions in design and applied art. It was not a comprehensive gauge of the author's previous generation, but the tour was built so that comprehensive works primarily incurred during the last two years. On the walls accompanied by photographs, the most important works from the previous period, currently exhibited in the context of other projects in Slovakia and abroad.

Exhibition received considerable attention and audience than presenting Michal making honor and its social content. Attributed to its mission, I would refute conventional myth associated mainly with the idea of a craft's artistic creativity, as presented in the period of socialism. Ambition to find again the link between craft and high art with a person with full designer art education. At a time when there are still economic conditions on the growth in demand for fine arts, be aware that the designer of commercial items a person is receptive, open innovation, filled with joy from the work itself. Large positive opening ceremony itself was that attracted the general public. Left in an established position as the world alone for themselves, a party for private curators, artists and their friends.

The exhibited objects can be divided into three basic categories: toys, utility items and interior accessories. The last two collections overlap each other as in the latest cycle, called the twig. In it the author worked with the waste after logging, and offered him in the processed form with a variety of new features. It was a real job with real waste, found it necessary to deliberately works produced.

Toys. For example, building blocks, puzzles surface, floating toys, based on Michal's ability to creatively shape the noble material. Making its characteristics as color, drawing, interaction and touch. Personally, I highly appreciate the courage to try to deal with imports from abroad, which is in the industry and significant effort to offer quality versus quantity.

Interior accessories: tables, racks, lights are located on the border of the benefits and decorations. Explicitly forcing people to review the defamatory meaning of the word decorative, who won in a time when Adolf Loos called ornament a crime. These articles I would recommend watch the widest possible audience, because it's one way to deal with artistic taste, which is still flooded most of the household. Equally emphasizes craftsmanship and the ability to design at perfectly controlled product, educate the owner to build a relationship to their things.

Third Collection - Commercial items, tableware and practical elements were represented kid, nut squash, tubers - box.

When they would like to draw attention to an important component of any work which is their workmanship depends on the design and material, that is mostly different types of local wood. Mention as turning wet wood, the controlled drying, drilling, chopping, korytárstvo, basketry, different ways of joining materials, processing or tinkery horn. Michael uses the traditional techniques proven years ago but also to allow them also to innovate and adapt, which entitles him perfect knowledge of materials and work tools. Some products built to the position of serial products manufactured using a combination of modified natural materials, and standardized industrial components. This suggested the possibility of mass production.

To finish using natural materials - pigments, beeswax, linseed oil. These are materials that specifically attract people to touch them.
